Digital Career Training – 2023
Registration is now open for the Alaafia Digital Career Training Program. This free workforce development initiative is designed to equip participants with in-demand digital skills that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship, and long-term financial stability.
The program requires a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week and is delivered virtually over 12 weeks through Alaafia’s online learning platform. Participants can access training materials, assignments, and support through our e-learning portal.

Eligibility
This program is available to Milwaukee-area residents who identify as members of underserved or minority communities. We strongly encourage applications from:
- Individuals living with disabilities
- Survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault
- African immigrants and refugees
- Individuals seeking new career opportunities
- Unemployed or underemployed adults
Program Goals
At Alaafia, we believe that digital literacy and technology skills are essential tools for economic empowerment. Many individuals face barriers to accessing technology training and career development opportunities. Our Digital Career Training Program helps bridge that gap by providing accessible, high-quality instruction designed to prepare participants for today’s digital workforce.

Certification
Participants who successfully complete all program requirements will receive an Alaafia Digital Media Certification. Individuals who complete specific courses will receive certificates of completion for those courses.
Digital Career Training – 2022
The 2022 Alaafia Digital Career Training Program provided free digital workforce training to community members seeking new career opportunities and economic advancement.
The program required a commitment of 10 hours per week over a 10-week period and offered participants a tax-free stipend ranging from $1,200 to $1,500, which did not affect eligibility for government benefits.
