About Alaafia Digital Career Training

Alaafia intends to provide vocational and technical training by removing barriers that target disabled people and communities of color. This includes providing diverse in-person and online training programs to focus on vocational and technical skills.

The Digital Media Training Program is an Alaafia initiative designed to provide digital career training to disadvantaged individuals with fewer opportunities in the digital world. This program targets people living with disabilities, individuals living with sickle cell, African immigrants, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and their families. Initially created to provide career training to individuals living with sickle cell disease and their families in the United States, this program now helps many disadvantaged individuals gain financial independence and work from the comfort of their homes. The program offers 12 weeks of paid digital career training and certification.

The Digital Media Training Program aims to empower individuals with knowledge and career opportunities in the digital media industry. Participants learn about various areas of digital media, including graphic design, video production, social media marketing, and web development. The instructors are industry professionals who provide hands-on experience through projects and assignments, enabling participants to learn the latest tools and techniques used in the industry. Additionally, the program provides training in soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management. These skills are crucial for success in any job and help our graduates stand out in the competitive digital media industry.
