Alaafia is a Registered\u00a0<\/span>501(c)(3)<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Address \u2013 1037 W McKinley Ave,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Milwaukee WI\u00a0<\/span>53205<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Hotline No \u2013\u00a0<\/span>414-432-3555<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Email \u2013 info@alaafiaafrc.org.<\/span><\/p>\n www.alaafiaafrc.org<\/span><\/p>\n All donations are tax-deductible.<\/span><\/p>\n Registered No<\/span>\u00a084-4761643<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Happy Holidays from all of us at Alaafia!<\/span><\/p>\n As 2022 comes to an end, I want to highlight our success, challenges and how we navigate through everything.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We have had a very productive and successful year.<\/span><\/p>\n Alaafia positively impacted the community through various initiatives and services.<\/span><\/p>\n Alaafia launched its state-of-the-art hotline, which includes calls, texts and chats that provide assistance to African immigrant and Sickle Cell families, as well as other clients in need of support.<\/span><\/p>\n We organized several community outreaches and online events focusing on sexual\/domestic violence, sickle cell, leadership and empowerment and expanded our awareness program.<\/span><\/p>\n Alaafia provides many services and resources for its clients, including food, transportation and their basic needs.<\/span><\/p>\n We gave out many contracts to various consultants and vendors, which increased the economy of their businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n Alaafia also designed a social media platform for Sickle Cell LGBTQ people.<\/span><\/p>\n We launched our Digital Career Training which created its e-Learning platform. This project provided career training for students in tech-related fields.<\/span><\/p>\n We also had our first graduation and so many beautiful memories were created.<\/span><\/p>\n Alaafia donated school supplies and hygiene products to our clients and partners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Understandably, there were challenges along the way, but it’s admirable that we overcame them and continued progressing.
